关于 马德拉国民足球俱乐部
Clube Desportivo Nacional, is a Portuguese football club often called Nacional and sometimes Nacional da Madeira. CD Nacional’s home base is in Funchal, in the island of Madeira. Its location is in the north of Funchal, situated high in the Choupana Mountains.
CD Nacional was founded in 1910 and is a member of the Primeira Liga, wich is the top division of professional football in Portugal. Home games are played at Estádio da Madeira, which is also known as Estádio da Choupana. This intimate stadium, seating just over 5,000 people, was constructed in 1998 and given the name Estádio Eng. Rui Alves after the current club president Rui Alves. It was renovated and modernized in 2007 at a cost of 20 million Euros/
The team plays at home in black and white striped shirts with black shorts and socks. From the ages of ten to twelve, one of the world’s greatest players, Cristiano Ronaldo was a youth player with CD Nacional and in his honour the Club named their youth training facilities Cristiano Ronaldo Campus Futebol.
The highest point in the Portuguese league that CD Nacional has achieved was fourth in 2003-04 and in European competitions a third place in the group stage of the 2009\10 UEFA Europa League.
As is the case with many Portuguese clubs, Nacional is more than a football team with more than eleven other teams being fielded in a variety of different sporting challenges.
Let’s look at some of the players who have sustained Nacional over more than a century. Brazilian Serginho holds the twin titles of being the player with the most appearances (279) for Nacional and also their highest scorer with 115 goals. He was the key player who helped lift Nacional up from the third tier to consolidate in the Premier League and even in his last season of 2003-04, he scored crucial goals in the EUFA Cup competition.
Bruno Patacas comes not far behind in Club appearances (229) between 2002 and 2011playing as a right-back. Very often he was the only native Portuguese player in a team dominated by Brazilians. Eventually he was offered the Club captaincy and on his retirement at the age of 33 became the Nacional Director of Football.
Brazilian born striker Adriano played for Nacional over three years from 2002-05 during which time he made 89 appearances and scored 43 goals, a fairly good return for a striker averaging one every other game.
Midfielder João Aurélio spent eight years with the Club, chalking up 186 appearances. He made a notable score in Nacional’s UEFA Europa League 4–3 home triumph over FC Zenit Saint Petersburg. Angolan Mateus made 117 appearances and scored 28 goals. In 2011-12 he scored nine goals in twenty games.
