关于 博洛尼亚
It is one of Italy’s largest, wealthiest and most beautiful cities, its landscape filled with historic monuments, religious chapels, fine universities and many places that share city residents for fine cuisine. Its football team, Bologna F.C. 1909, is one of the most successful in Italy, although it seems that its fine fays were left behind. And yet, a trip to Bologna and attendance of a football match in Stadio Renato Dall'Ara is a must for a traveler to central Italy.
Bologna was founded in 1909 not by young people with English descent, but by a Swiss dentist, who was looking for young people to share his beloved game with. The famed blue and red stripes on the shirts were the original uniform.
The team won its first title in 1924-25, after the arrival of Angiolino Schiavio. The forward not only played his entire career in red and blue (1922-1939), but he made 179 appearances for the team, scoring an astonishing 109 goals and has remained the club’s all-time top goal-scorer. The team won a second Scudetto in 1928-29, and momentum didn’t stop there, as the 1930’s were a magnificent time, in which Bologna won no less than four titles, including the 1940-41.
A long period of draught followed, until the seventh and final for now championship arrived in 1963-64, despite having five players disqualified for substance use. The act sent the city into a social and political turmoil and it took a 2-0 victory in Rome to secure the title.
The 1970’s were a hard period, as Bologna was forced to sell key players. The end finally came in 1982, as the team was relegated to Serie B for the first time in its history, followed by a relegation to Serie C one season later. By 1987-88, Bologna was back to Serie A. The club had another low spell in the 90’s and was again relegated to Serie C, before mounting a comeback. Bologna went through a serious of ownership changes in the decade that followed – from local businessmen to foreign ownership to a group led by an American celebrity attorney - events that didn’t contribute to managerial stability. Since 2015, Bologna plays in the Serie A.
Over the years, some notable Italian players have worn the blue and red, among them Giuseppe Signori, who played between 1998-2004, scoring 78 goals in 142 matches Former Inter and Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, who rose through the youth ranks and played only one season (1981-82) for the senior team And former Italy great Roberto Baggio, who came to Bologna at the twilight of his career, after he had won it all with Juventus and AC Milan, and scored a staggering 22 goals in only 30 matches in 1997-98.
Bologna F.C. 1909 play its home matches in 38,729-seat Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.
